Catcher in The Rye

summary: at the beginning of the book you meet Holden . He describes how he had a lousy childhood and that his family is nice but a little on the different side. he also says that he has had a rough life because he has been kicked out of 3 different schools.he flashbacks to when he went to Pencey prep. Holden remembers when he went to his teachers house Old spencer to talk to him before he left. because he got kicked out of the school. olod spencer talks to him about life being a game and it all depends on how you play .and the decisions you make Holden didnt want to listne to that and said that he had to leave. Holden lies all of the time. He cant not lie some times and does it even if he doenst need to. He then goes to his dorm were u meet his neighbor ackly. Holden descries Ackly as being anoying and not careinr about personal space. he also describes himhim as having lots of pimples on his face and dirty teeth. holden is sitting at his dorm when his roommate comes in and askes him if he can borrow his honds tooth jacket for a date that night. he says he will and then he askes holden if he would write an essay over something discriptive like a room or house . holden says that he will if he has time.

response: i like this book so far because it makes you want to keep reading even though it is an old story you can relate to him and what he does.
