in this chapter the platoon is resting and they can hear other battles from were they are. they hear a person named jimmie crying and they henry and willson volenter to get some water . when they go looking they dont find water but they hear a general and some other troops talking about how they dont need henry's platoon.
this chapter made me wonder why henry's platoon didnt do more because it does seem like they dont do much fighting.
what were the reasons that the general said they didnt need henry's platoon?
